Caught In The Bag

I woke up in the morning told my momma I was cold.

Then I went down to Ben Franklin’s where my hobby was sold.

I sniffed and I sniffed and didn’t get tired.

But oh my, my… my head was tired.

Because I’m caught in the bag

And it’s all over now.

I got higher and higher but not high enough.

I saw no stop signs while doing that stuff.

So I squeezed another tube in that brown paper sack.

Now I’ve gone too far and I can’t get back.

Because I’m caught in the bag

And it’s all over now.

I’m chilled in the morning and the night is the same.

Almost all of the time there’s a haze in my brain.

Twinkle, twinkle little orange tube – if only I could stop it.

But every minute of the day there’s a sack in my pocket.

Because I’m caught in the bag

And it’s all over now.
