Send Me An Invitation Vinyl 45

$7.50

In the spring of 1982 Banastre Tarleton recorded “Send Me An Invitation,” a tune that many consider to be one of his best power pop compositions. The recording was made with engineer Steve Gardner who had worked with several notables in Nashville and Los Angeles , including The Eagles, Missouri, and Steve Warner. The flip-side was a hard rocker called “I Don’t Know You Anymore,” which was a show opener for the band during their extensive touring in the early 1980’s. The musicians on the record include BT’s stalwart companions of many years – drummer Fil DiMaggio and bassist Mark Brinkerhoff...Back up vocals and rhythm guitar were performed by New York native Gary Puff and a searing lead guitar solo was played by Kenny “The Killer” King, who left the band for personal reasons in the middle of the sessions. King’s replacement, Barry Johnson, added some of his own guitar tracks to the title track before the record’s release in September 1982. “Send Me An Invitation” was recorded again in 1988 and released as part of a three-song cassette E.P. titled “The Enchantress.
